IR-Integrated Interview Day
For the 2025 Match cycle, we will be hosting 3 interview dates: 2 in-person (11/4 & 11/8) and 1 virtual (11/6).
In-Person Interview
Applicants are invited to a casual dinner with the current residents the night before the interview. This will serve as an opportunity to meet our residents and ask questions about the program and life in Chicago. Each interview group will receive more specific details about time and location in the weeks leading up to the date.
The interviews will be conducted in-person at The University of Chicago Medicine main campus in Hyde Park. There are two interview groups per day. The first group should plan to arrive by 8:00 AM. The day will begin with a brief welcome before the interviews begin. The morning interviews will complete by 10:30 AM at which time both the morning and afternoon interview group will convene in our conference room for a welcome and detailed presentation about our program by the program director. This will be followed by a resident-guided tour, and then an opportunity to sit in on noon conference with both the IR and DR residents. After noon conference, at approximately 12:45 PM, the morning interview group will depart and the afternoon interview group will conduct their interviews. The afternoon interviews will be completed by 3:00 PM.
Virtual Interview
Applicants are invited to an informal Zoom the night before the interview. This will serve as a casual opportunity to meet some of our residents and learn more about our program and life in Chicago. Each group will receive more specific details in the week leading up to the interview.
The interviews will also be conducted via Zoom. There are two interview groups per day. The first group should plan on logging on by 7:45 a.m. and the second group by 10:00 a.m. You will receive more specific details when you schedule your interview.
You will interview with 3 faculty and 1 resident, as well as get a chance to chat informally with residents in a virtual break room. During the interview day you will also meet the Chairman and attend our noon conference. An introduction and video tour of the department is located below.
If you are a member of the morning group, expect to be finished by 12:30 p.m. The afternoon group will be finished by 3:00 p.m.
